Self Test Mode for BRC
The BRC has a lot of LED’s on it and we’ve had a few inSync readers inquire about testing them. Thankfully the BRC has a self-test routine for this. Here is the routine as outlined by our black belt of BRC techdome, Greg Bowers. “Pressing RECORD ENABLE1 and RECORD ENABLE7 simultaneously during power up will put the unit into manual self-test mode. While in this mode, the operator can skip to any test by pressing the appropriate test number on the keypad. The test number and test name will be displayed in the LCD display. To execute the test, simply press AUTO PLAY (V2.04 software used the PLAY button to execute). The LED tests are number 2 (block) and 3 (Cycle), respectively. Block shows sections at a time and cycle lights each LED individually in progression. There are other tests listed, but ignore them. Most require special set up to test correctly. No harm will come to the unit if accidentally selected. Power off when finished and unit will return to normal.”
