I recorded a tape on a XT, XT20 or LX20 at 44.1K. Can I play it in a system with a BRC?
Yes. Use the “pitch down -147 cents” method discussed above. The ADAT’s “External 48k” indicators will keep flashing, but this is normal-the ADAT-XT doesn’t “know” that the BRC is feeding it the correct-speed word clock.
