How can I restore my unit to factory defaults? Performing a Hard Reset
K1000, K1200, Pro I, Pro II, Pro III, PX Plus & AX Plus
Hold down the A & B buttons while powering up the unit.
1000PX, 1000SX, 1000HX, & 1000GX
Hold down the Yes & No buttons while powering up the unit.
K2000 Series
Hold down 1, 2, & 3 on power up. The display will show Hard Reset and Diagnostics, with Hard Reset already selected. Press Enter. Then turn the unit off and back on.
K2500/K2600 Series
Turn it on, and when it says “Please Wait” in the display, press and release the Exit button. This takes you to the boot loader. Select Hard Reset and then follow the on screen instructions.
PC88 & PC88MX
Hold down the 1, 2, & 3 buttons while powering up the unit. Release the buttons within two seconds of turning on the unit. Press the << button under the display. Then turn the unit off and back on. SP Series Hold down the two buttons labeled Panic while turning the power on. Continue holding until the LEDs have flashed the second time. Wait for the display to show “P.L.C.”, then press the Row Select button once. The display should show “CPU”. Press Column Select once. The display will flicker then show “rOM”. Press Row Select 5 times until the display shows “ini”; then press Column Select once. The display will then show “ok?”. Press the Up arrow button. The display will flicker again briefly, dim, then show “PAS”. Turn the power off and then back on.
