How do I record Sysex bulk dumps into Logic?
All you need to do is to make sure that the MIDI output of device you wish to record from is connected to an input on your MIDI interface. Select a MIDI track in Logic to record to. Bring up whatever menus are needed to access the sysex bulk dump parameters on the device. Put Logic into record, and initiate the sysex bulk dump from the MIDI device. A sequence will appear in the track in Logic, containing the sysex datA: Disable the >hardware handshake< option of the device, if it offers one. Make sure that the reception of Sysex Data is not disabled under Options > Settings > MIDI Settings, in the input filter.
