How can I record to my DAT through my 2408 and Digital Performer?
1.In Digital Performer go under “Basics”
2.Chose “Motu Audio System Options”
3.Then choose “Configure Hardware Driver”
4.Make sure your “Clock Source” is set to PCI-324 Internal”
5.Close control panel.
6.Make sure you are using a “Digital” 75 ohm Coaxil cable , connected to the “DAT”
output on the back of the 2408.This should travel to the S/PDIF “in” on your DAT machine.
7.Make sure you set the DAT ‘s Sample rate to match whatever your Digital Performers session is set to.
8.Also make sure your DAT is set to “Digital” for its record mode,(This may vary between DAT machines) and “S/PDIF” for the type of Digital.
9.Place the DAT into “Record Pause” mode.
10.Any track in DP that is assigned to “Analog 1+2” will also appear at the “DAT” out .
11.You should see level on your DAT! Thats it, record at will.
