Pro Tools M-Powered 8 gives a DAE error 6006 when I try to launch with a Mackie Onyx firewire mixer. Operating on a Windows system.
First make sure you have the latest Mackie Universal Drivers

In one case, we solved this by having the user power off their PC, remove other audio interface(s), power off the Onyx, then boot the PC again. After windows booted completely, we powered on the Onyx and the launched Pro Tools MP and it worked.
The key appears to be allowing Windows to completely boot before powering on the Onyx
