Pro Tools crashes on “setting up MIDI” during launch on Windows
Go to C: > documents and settings > current user > application data and trash the digidesign folder.
Application Data is a hidden folder which will not be displayed unelss Windows is configured to show hidden folders. To do this, open any folder and click on Tools Menu > Folder Options > View > Show Hidden Files and Folders
