Can I have OMS and FreeMIDI extensions active at the same time
Yes. You will need to make sure that the preferences are setup correctly to allow this. In FreeMIDI, set the preferences under the file menu to “Allow other Applications”. In OMS, make sure the “Run MIDI in background” option is off. This is located in the OMS MIDI setup option under the edit menu. Now each application will release control of the serial ports when you switch from one to the other.
