NUGEN Audio Software Activation Instructions
IMPORTANT: The “Code” you received in the software activation e-mail is known as a License Code.
How to use this guide
In this guide, we will show you how to register, download, and activate your Nugen software. Follow the sections below to get started.
Register the plug-in
The first step in the activation process is to create an account and register the plug-in with NUGEN. If you already have an account, there’s no need to create a new one. Just make sure to use the same one you already have. Follow these steps to register the plug-in.
- Log in to your Nugen account. If you don’t have an account, create one here.
- Navigate to the registration page, enter the License Code you received from your Sweetwater Sales Engineer, then click
Download the software
The next step is to download your product. Just go to the Licenses page in the User Account area, select the product download for your OS, then run the installer file. Follow these steps to complete the download and installation.
- Go to the My Licenses page in your User Account, and download the plug-in installer for your OS.
- Open the Downloads folder and run the installer file, then follow the on-screen instructions.
Activate the plug-in
The final step in the authorization process is to activate the plug-in. There are two ways to activate it; online or offline. To do this, you will need to launch your DAW, load the plug-in onto a track, then use a challenge/response code to authorize it. Follow these steps to finish the activation process.
Online authorization
- Load the plug-in within your DAW, then click the Use License button in the plug-in window that appears.
- Click On-line then enter the License Code provided by your Sweetwater Sales Engineer.
- Click Apply license then follow the prompts to verify and complete the activation process.
Offline authorization
- Load the plug-in within your DAW, then click the Use License button in the plug-in window that appears.
- Click Off-line then click Please click here.
- Copy the Product ID and Machine Key then go to a computer connected to the internet and visit the off-line licensing page.
- Fill out the information, including the Machine Key and the License Code provided by your Sweetwater Sales Engineer, then click Submit to receive an Unlock Code.
- Go back to the offline computer, enter the Unlock Code, then click Apply license.

The estimated required monthly payment shown which excludes taxes and delivery equals the amount financed divided by the number of months in the promo period, rounded up to the next cent. During the last month(s) of the promo period the required monthly payment may be reduced due to this rounding. These payments apply only with the financing offer shown. If you make these payments by the due date each month, you should pay off this amount financed within the promo period, if it is the only balance you are paying off. If you have other balances on your account, this payment will be added to any other minimum monthly payments.
