MusicLab Software Activation Instructions
Getting started
In this guide, we will show you how to register, download, and install your new MusicLab software. Follow the instructions below to get started.
IMPORTANT: The “Code” in your activation e-mail is called an Activation Number.
Register & download the software
The first step in the activation process is to register your product with MusicLab. You’ll need to visit their website and use the serial number your Sweetwater Sales Engineer sent to unlock your product. Follow these steps to register the software.
- Visit the MusicLab registration page, and fill out the required information, including the activation number you received from your Sweetwater Sales Engineer. This also creates a MusicLab account for you.
- Once logged in, download the software installer for your OS, then launch the installer file.
Authorize the software
IMPORTANT: You cannot authorize a demo version using the license key. You must install the full version.
The last thing to do before using your new product is to authorize it. You’ll need to check your e-mail for a license key to download. You will also be sent your account information, so be sure to save that in case you need to re-download or re-license the software. Follow these steps to complete the activation process.
- Launch your DAW and load the plug-in on a new instrument track.
- Open your e-mail from MusicLab and double click the license key file to complete the authorization.

If you do not, interest will be charged on the promo balance from the purchase date. The required minimum monthly payments may or may not pay off the promo balance before the end of the promo period, depending on purchase amount, promo length and payment allocation. Regular account terms apply to non-promo purchases and, after promo period ends, to the promo balance. New Accounts as of 07/31/2025: Purchase APR is 34.99%. Penalty APR is 39.99%. The estimated required monthly payment shown which excludes taxes and delivery equals the amount financed divided by the number of months in the promo period, rounded up to the next cent. During the last month(s) of the promo period the required monthly payment may be reduced due to this rounding. These payments apply only with the financing offer shown. If you make these payments by the due date each month, you should pay off this amount financed within the promo period, if it is the only balance you are paying off. If you have other balances on your account, this payment will be added to any other minimum monthly payments.
