More Help With Zip Files On A Macintosh (K2500 O/S Upgrade)
inSync reader Wes N. adds the following to our tip on transferring downloaded OS files from a Mac to a Kurzweil K2500: “Per your response about loading the new 2500 Kurzweil. O.S. from an O.S. 7.1 Mac, A very important thing to know is that:§Be aware only 1(one) of the objects can be used for your machine – it depends solely on which model (expansion ROM voices) your Kurzweil has.§You must have the shareware program “Zipit” (available here), and make sure un-zipped versions are placed on your main hard drive (i.e. not in folders).§You need Apple File Exchange/PC Exchange (available at www.info.apple.com) to copy to DOS formatted disks (format it on the Kurzweil)” Thanks Wes!
