Memory upgrades for the K2500 and K2500X
(RevA to RevJ) – Uses 30 pin SIMM1, SIMM470, or SIMM16 @ 80 ns or faster – 8meg simms are not supported – 0 meg stock – 8 SIMM sockets total. Can be upgraded to 128 meg via eight SIMM16s. SIMMs must be installed in pairs. You can mix SIMMs as long as they are installed in matched pairs (ie two SIMM4 and two SIMM16) – SIMMs should be installed into Bank 0 first (the bank closest to the back panel of the Kurzweil) and work your way to the front of the unit.
( Rev K or Greater) – Uses 72pin SIMM4Q, SIMM8Q, SIMM16Q, SIMM32Q, SIMM64Q, SIMM128Q – Simm need to be 80uSec or faster, Either 32 or 36 bit will work, two SIMM sockets, 0 meg stock, SIMMs can be installed in either singles or pairs
NOTE : SIMM8Q, SIMM32Q, and SIMM128Q must be installed as a single SIMM and you CAN not use the other SIMM socket!!!

4 meg = (1) SIMM4Q
8 meg = (1) SIMM8Q – can not use other socket
8 meg = (2) SIMM4Q
16 meg = (1) SIMM16Q
20 meg = (1) SIMM16Q + (1) SIMM4Q
32 meg = (1) SIMM32Q – can not use other socket
32 meg = (2) SIMM16Q
64 meg = (1) SIMM64Q
68 meg = (1) SIMM64Q +(1) SIMM4Q
80 meg = (1) SIMM64Q +(1) SIMM16Q
128 meg = (1) SIMM128Q – can not use other socket
128 meg = (2) SIMM64Q
