Why won’t my M-Audio Quattro work on my Windows PC?
M-Audio has had problems with the Quattro’s compatability with PCs, and the current Quattros (as of late November 2001) do not support Windows PCs. This is not a software problem but a hardware chip problem, so simply downloading drivers for your Quattro with a MAC sticker on it will not work, and can actually corrupt your operating system of your computer.
Before Christmas (and probably sooner), these will be cross-platform units and will be compatable with Windows 98se, ME, and 2000. Windows XP compatability is still in the works.
