I’m getting errors in PreSonus Capture 2.
These instructions are to be used if you are using Capture 2 software and you are getting errors which might be similar to the expressed below:
1. Capture gives me a “record enable failure.”
2. When trying to open the Capture session file in Capture or Studio One, it fails and gives an error message about “file not found.”
3. Capture crashes on start up or crashes on start up or while using your mixer.
For Mac Users:
You will need to access your user library folder. The Library folder contains files used by OS X and your apps, including your personal fonts and preferences. The Library folder is hidden. To open it, make sure you are in the Finder, hold down the Option key, and then choose Go > Library.
Then, locate this folder below and Delete the contents of the Capture 2 folder:
/Users/[username]/Library/Application Support/PreSonus Software/Capture 2
For PC Users:
The Capture 2 Settings file is located in a certain area of your User Account profile. This is different per User Login on a computer and will need to be deleted in all.
Go to this folder in a new Windows Explorer browser window:
C:\Users\[Username]\AppData\Roaming\PreSonus\Capture 2
Delete all it’s content and restart the software.
