How do I update the firmware for my dbx DrivRack PA2 via USB on Windows 8?
To allow the PA2 Driver to be installed on Windows 8, driver signature enforcement must be disabled. Follow the instructions to disable driver signature enforcement.
- While logged onto a Windows 8 computers press, Win + C to bring up the Charms Bar, and then navigate to Settings>Change PC Settings>Update & Recovery>Recovery.
- While in the Recovery windows, select the Advanced Startup and click the ‘Restart Now’ option. Windows will proceed to restart into an Advanced Options prompt.
- While in the ‘Choose an option,’ window click on Troubleshoot and then Advanced options.
- In the Advanced options window, select Startup Settings and then click Restart. Windows will proceed to restart into a Startup Settings window.
- In the Startup Settings, window press the F7 Key on your keyboard. Windows will proceed to boot up to the log in screen.
- Connect the PA2 to the computer through USB.
- Run the PA2 Firmware Updater installer found here.
- During the installation, a Driver installation window will appear. Follow the installation normally until prompted by a Windows Security window.
- Click the “Install this driver software anyway” option and proceed with normal installation.
- Run the Firmware Updater.
