How do I change my Behringer FCA610/1616 between FireWire and USB mode?
On the front right hand side of the FCA1616/FCA610 you will find the DIGITAL SELECT button. With the FCA1616/FCA610 switched off press and hold the DIGITAL SELECT button down then power up the unit by either plugging in the FireWire cable or plugging in the power supply (if using USB). Continue to hold the button until the USB/FW LED lights steadily (this will take about 5 – 10 seconds). You will see the lights on the right side of the unit flash multiple times before the USB/FW light remains steady. You may also see the device reboot itself once you let go of the Digital Select button.
If the USB/FW LED is BLUE then this indicates that the unit is in USB mode.
If the USB/FW LED is RED then this indicates that the unit is in FIREWIRE mode.
