The faders on my Digidesign control surface don’t seem to be working properly: sometimes they “fight” me when I try to move them. What’s going on?
In some cases, plugging your Digidesign control surface into a UPS (uninterruptable power supply) or power conditioner can cause odd behavior. This is because Digidesign control surfaces use continuity to sense when you touch one of the faders. If something is “messing” with their grounding you may see odd behavior like the faders “fighting” you.
If your Digidesign control surface is plugged directly into a properly grouded AC power source and is on a different circuit than your other gear and you are still having problems, contact Digidesign tech support through normal channels to see if a repair is in order.
