Engaging the Choke Function on a DTX

Under most settings, the Choke Function usually operates automatically with Yamaha pads. However, there are certain settings which can keep this function from working.

Engaging the Choke Function:

1) Press the [UTILITY] button.

2) Use the the [-1/NO] or [+1/YES] button to select ‘System’.

3) Press the [PAGE ] button to enter ‘Edit’ mode.

4) Turn the ‘Data Scroll’ wheel to select ‘Advance’.

5) Press the [TRIGGER] button.

6) Use the [PAGE ] or [PAGE ] buttons to select ‘Trigger Edit 17’ (RIM VEL).

7) Strike the rim of the Yamaha Cymbal Pad.

8) Use the [-1/NO] or [+1/YES] button to select ‘Mute Lo’ or ‘Mute Hi’.
