How do I enable the on-board audio card in my Creation Station?

1. Reboot or Power on the computer.
2. When the first text screen appears, repeatedly tap the Delete key until the words “Entering Setup…” appear on the screen.
3. You will enter the BIOS Setup utility. It will have a blue and gray background.
4. Using the 4 arrow keys on your keyboard, navigate to the
Advanced tab and select “Onboard Devices Configuration.” Press Enter.
5.* Highlight the top choice, “HD Audio Controller.” It will be set to “Disabled.” Press Enter on it, and then highlight and choose “Enabled.”
6. Press Escape (Esc) once to return to the main menu.
7. Cursor over to Exit and press Enter. Highlight “Exit and Save changes” and press “Enter.”
8. Press Enter again (make sure OK is highlighted).
9. Your computer will now reboot.
10. You will get a “Found New Hardware” wizard when Wndows reboots. Just ignore it.
11.** Go to My Computer > C: > Built in Audio and run the Setup.exe file. Follow the on-screen instructions.

You will now be able to use your built-in audio card on your Creation Station.

* The HD Audio Controller is the most common across the Creation Station series. Your model may have the “AC’97 Audio” or “Azalia Controller” instead. The instructions will be the same.
** If you do not have this folder on your hard drive, or if the installer gives an error, then you will need to install the audio drivers from your Asus CD. If you do not have your Asus CD, you can download the drivers from Asus’ website.
