eLicencer Control Center doesn’t recognize my Steinberg/VSL key.
First it is import to make sure you have the most current eLicenser and driver installed.

Does the Steinberg key appear within Windows Device Manager? If so, please follow the directions below.
[PC Windows] Please do a reinstallation of the eLicenser Control Center in “Overwrite” mode by following these steps:
Unplug all USB-eLicensers
[Windows XP]
Go to Windows “Start” menu, select “Run”, enter “cmd” and press [ENTER] -> this opens the command console window. Drag and drop the downloaded eLicenserControlSetup.exe file from your desktop into the command window to add its path to the command prompt.
[Windows Vista / Windows 7]
Click on the Windows logo in the task bar.
Enter “cmd” (without the quotation marks) and right-click the cmd entry in the result list. Choose “Run as administrator” (important!)
Enter the complete path to the eLicenserControlSetup.exe
Now add the overwrite option by typing ” /o” (without the quotation marks) and notice the space between the path/filename and the “/o” option.
A valid command line should look like this now:
“…\any path\eLicenserControlSetup.exe” /o
Press [ENTER], this starts the eLCC installation in overwrite mode.
Now reboot your PC, when Windows has finished booting connect one USB-eLicenser at a time, allowing the Windows Hardware Detection to install each key automatically.
