DAE -6006 Errors in Pro Tools M-Powered 7.
This is primarily a Firewire communication error. Try the following:
– Download and install the latest drivers for your M-Audio hardware, available at http://www.m-audio.com/index.php?do=support.drivers .
– Download and install the latest update of Pro Tools, available at www.digidesign.com > Support > Downloads > Index of CS Updates > Find the latest update for your version and Pro Tools and operating system.
– Try a different Fiewire cable and/or port.
– On a PC: Uninstall your Firewire controllers from the Device Manager. They will be listed under “IEEE 1394 Bus Host Controllers.” Right-click on whatever shows up in this category, choose “Uninstall,” and reboot the computer. Click “Next” through any Found New Hardware Wizards that pop up.
