In Coda Finale or Allegro, how do I change a tempo marking? Can you write an accelerando or ritardando and hear it?
Tempo markings are a little difficult to make which is why we include them in the setup wizard. the easiest way to correct the marking is to create a new piece with the setup wizard containing the correct marking. Click on the Expression tool and right click on the tempo marking. Select Edit Measure Text Expression Definition. Press Ctrl+C to Copy the text that appears in the text box in the upper left (this may seem like random characters). Switch to your original score and right click on the tempo marking. Select Edit Measure Text Expression Definition. Delete all the text from the text field then press Ctrl+v to paste the new tempo marking into the expression. Click the playback options button to see the available options. Make sure the type is set as tempo and change the value field to reflect your new tempo setting. Press OK and try playing your piece to see if you have corrected your marking.
