Finale 2009 and beyond does not support ASIO drivers for RME Fireface devices on Windows at this time.
If you are using an RME Fireface device that uses ASIO drivers, you can select an alternative playback device by following these steps:
1. From the MIDI/Audio menu, point to Device Setup, then click Audio Setup. This will open the Audio Setup window.
2. From the Audio Driver drop-down list located at the top of the Audio Setup window, select DirectSound.
3. Click OK.
This will route Finale’s playback to your computer’s default Windows playback drivers. Note that this will route sound from Finale to speakers connected to the sound card or device that is set as Window’s default sound device; to hear sound, you may need to ensure that you have speakers connected properly to this device.
