I can’t get my file from the WEB to load into my Kurzweil?

There a few steps that need to happen before you can load your file from the web into your Kurzweil….
1st of all, you must realize that the file that you download is NOT the file you will put into the Kurzweil. It is a ZIPPED version of this file…
In order for you to use this file you must first UNZIP the file…
On a MAC,
you will download your file to your desktop and then place on the ICON of your STUFFIT EXPANDER and it will unzip into a Folder on your desktop. Most of the files will produce a folder that has 2 more folders in it that may say DISK 1 and DISK 2 and then a few read me files. Take your empty / formatted floppy and take the file from Disk 1 and drag and drop onto the newly formatted DISK on your desktop… and do the same for each disk that it calls for…
Make sure that the file you are placing on your new floppy has the EXT. – KRZ. If it does not have this, then something has not happened…

On a PC,
you will download your file to your desktop and then doubleclick the file ( as long as you have WINZIP on your computer ) If you do not have winzip – you must go to www.winzip.com
and download this untility. It is a freeWARE program.Once it unzips, it will produce 2 folders on your desktop.. and then you must format a couple of floppies …
go to WINDOWS EXPLOYER and drag the file that is in DISK 1 to your newly formatted floppy and follow this procedure for as many disks that are in your unzipped folder. Make sure that the file you are placing on your new floppy has the EXT. – KRZ. If it does not have this, then something has not happened…

now you are ready to place your DISK 1 floppy in your Kurzweil…hit the DISK mode key and then hit LOAD – if everything is done properly you should be able to see the KRZ file that you loaded from your computer on the screen of the Kurzweil and you are on your way…..
