Why does BIAS Sound Soap Pro cause Pro Tools to only play 10 seconds before it gives a ‘running out of CPU power’ or ‘held off interrupts too long’ error? I’m using Windows.
As of February 2005, this is a known problem with the RTAS version of Sound Soap Pro (not an issue in Sound Soap 2) and Windows.
One current workaround is to use a VST to RTAS wrapper such as FXpansion’s and use Sound Soap Pro VST version wrapped up as an RTAS, this has worked in some situations.
Please check the BIAS website for updates, as this is a known problem and is currently being worked on.
