How can I authorize my LogicRPC if my computer freezes or crashes when it tries to authorize? (New)

Here are a few things to try:

1. When it asks for the CD to authorize it, eject your Logic CD with the CD-ROM’s eject button after allowing it to spin for 15-20 seconds. Sometimes this gets the job done but will quit before it crashes.
1. ALTERNATE: Listen for the CD to spin up and then spin down, eject when it spins down. This may be better for faster or slower CD-rom drives which get the job done slower or faster.

2. Try a different CD-rom or burner drive to authorize. If that doesn’t work, uninstall LogicRPC and install from the other drive. Try authorizing from both drives.

3. Make sure DMA and Auto-Insert Notification are not turned on for this CD-rom drive. Right-click on My Computer, go to Properties, Device Manager, CDROM, double-click one of your CD-rom drives, go to Settings.

4. Go to your c:\windows\system directory, move aspienum.vxd to the recycle bin (don’t throw the file away by deleting it) and run Logic again, try to authorize it. If successful, replace the file to its original location.

5. Swap drive letters of your CD-roms, if you have more than one. This can be done by switching IDE cables if they are on separate ribbon cables, or by switching master/slave settings on the drives themselves.

6. Try a combination of both if it still doesn’t work- move the file and then when authorizing, eject the CD.
