Why does my audio lose sync or become distorted when I use more than 1 or 2 Duende plug-ins?
According to SSL, If you are using Pro Tools and Duende V1.0 on a multi-processor CPU you may experience out of sync audio, dropouts, pops and clicks or other undesirable results. Currently, Duende does not support the use of more than one RTAS processor in Pro Tools.
This issue has been resolved with the release of V1.2 software. You should download the latest version of software from the SSL website.
There is still an issue when using Duende V1.2 with more than 3 RTAS processors. This issue is being investigated.
If you are using a multi-processor Macintosh PowerMac G4 or G5 and Duende V1.0, please be sure to set your RTAS Processors to “1.” You can find this setting in the Setup–>Playback Engine menu option inside of Pro Tools. With your RTAS Processors set to “1” you will be able to take full advantage of Duende’s signal processing capabilities.
