Antares Software Activation Instructions

Getting Started 

In this guide, we will show you how to activate and access your Antares software. To continue, follow each of the sections below.  

1. iLok Account
   • Download and install iLok License Manager
   • Sign in with existing iLok User ID
   • Create new iLok User ID
2. Antares Account
   • Sign in with existing Antares account
   • Create new Antares account
3. AutoTune Central
   • Download and install AutoTune Central
   • Sync iLok User ID
4. Registration Code & iLok License
   • Enter Registration Code
   • Activate iLok License
5. Download & Installation
   • Download and install Antares plug-ins

1. iLok Account 

iLok licensed software requires iLok License Manager to activate. If you already have an iLok User ID for registering your new software, please verify the login and sign in before proceeding. If this is your first iLok licensed software, create a new iLok User ID to deposit your licenses instead. In some cases, users may wish to create another account to register their software to distinguish between multiple studios, computers, accounts, etc… 

IMPORTANT! iLok User IDs are case-sensitive. To reset your password or recover your account, go to the iLok Account Recovery page. 

IMPORTANT! Do not create multiple iLok User IDs if you only need one. Instead, try accessing the account using your current login. If necessary, try resetting your password or recovering your account. 

Download and install iLok License Manager 

1. Go to iLok’s iLok License Manager page and click the download button that is compatible with your computer.  
2. Open your Downloads folder and run the installer: 
   • PC: Right-click the .zip file, select “Extract all…,” then click “Extract.” Double-click the new .exe file and follow the on-screen instructions. 
   • Mac: Double-click the .zip file to unpack it. Open the new .dmg file, double-click the .pkg file, and follow the on-screen instructions. 
3. Open iLok License Manager and log in with your new iLok User ID. 

Sign in with an existing iLok User ID  

1. Open iLok License Manager. 
2. Sign in with your current iLok User ID.  
3. View your account’s licenses to verify the current iLok User ID is the intended destination for your new licenses.  

Create a new iLok User ID 

1. Go to the Account Registration page.  
2. Complete the registration form and click “Create Account.” 
3. Open the iLok Account Activation email and click on the included verification link.

2. Antares Account 

An account is required to activate Antares software. If you already have an account to register your new software with, please verify the login and sign in before proceeding. In some cases, users may wish to create another account to distinguish between multiple studios, computers, accounts, etc… 

IMPORTANT! Do not create multiple accounts if you only need one. Instead, try accessing the account using your current login. If necessary, try resetting your password or recovering your account.      

Sign in with existing Antares account 

1. Go to the Antares website.  
2. Click “Sign In,” enter your current login, and then click “Submit.”  
3. Click your user icon and select “Order History.”  
4. Verify your current products are registered with the current account.

Create new Antares account 

1. Go to the Antares website.  
2. Click “Sign In” and select “Create an Account.”  
3. Complete the form and click “Submit.”  
4. Sign in using your new login to verify your account.

3. AutoTune Central 

Antares software is downloaded from the AutoTune Central app. Download AutoTune Central, sign in, and then synchronize your iLok User ID with your Antares account.  

Download and install AutoTune Central  

1. Go to the Antares website.  
2. Hover over “Support” and select “Download Manager.”  
3. Click “Download” and select your operating system.  
4. Open your Downloads folder and run the installer:  
   • PC: Double-click the .exe file and follow the on-screen instructions.  
   • Mac: Double-click the .dmg file to open it. Drag and drop the app to the Applications folder.

Sync iLok User ID

1. Open AutoTune Central and sign in.  
2. Complete the prompts from the AutoTune Central app.  
3. When prompted, enter your iLok User ID and click “Sign In.”  
4. Follow the on-screen instructions to sync your iLok User ID with Antares.

4. Registration Code and iLok License 

Sweetwater has emailed you the Registration Code to activate your software. Open the email, find the Registration Code, and follow the steps below to enter the code and activate your license.  

Enter Registration Code 

1. Open AutoTune Central and click “Redeem a License.”  
2. Enter your Registration Code and click “Redeem.”

Activate iLok License 

1. Click the “Activate” button for your product(s).  
2. Follow the on-screen instructions to activate the iLok license to an eligible location.

5. Download & Installation 

Antares software is downloaded and installed with the AutoTune Central app.   

Download and install Antares plug-ins 

1. Open AutoTune Central, sign in, and select the “Plug-Ins” tab.  
2. Click your product’s install button to download and install it.
