Can I adjust the input monitoring level for each channel on the face place of my MOTU 896HD interface or do I have to use Cuemix Console software?
There is no way from the faceplace of the 896HD to control the monitor volumes of each Input, for this you must use Cuemix Console software on your Mac or PC. The Monitor knob only adjusts the output busses (there are 4 stereo output busses you can route all your inputs to in the Cuemix Console, these are the same output busses).
