“Access Violation occurred while processing your request” in Pro Tools.
This error might occur if the session you are working on is an OMF file that was exported from Final Cut Pro.
As a workaround, select File > Save Session Copy In… and select a new location for your session. Make SURE that you enable the “copy audio files” option. This will create a completely new and independent session for you to work on, which will not contain any of the bad data from the original OMF file.
