The Altus Z-Cut professional headjoint is touted by Azumi as their flutes’ most distinctive feature, responding quickly and easily and producing rich, full tones in all three registers. Furthermore, the Z-Cut boasts a fairly rectangular-shaped embouchure hole, which naturally gives it exceptional articulation and a clear, fast response.
