Craft Mixes That Translate — from Anywhere

IK Multimedia’s iLoud Micro Monitor Pro borrows cutting-edge tech from the company's higher-end iLoud MTM MKII and Precision series for mixes that translate perfectly — no matter where you're working from. The iLoud MM Pro delivers an ultra-accurate, flat, and detailed sound, along with physics-defying low-frequency extension and a maximum SPL that belies its compact, backpack-friendly size. IK’s acclaimed ARC auto-calibration ensures optimal acoustic performance in any environment. At the same time, the company’s award-winning X-Monitor software provides you with spot-on emulations of industry-standard studio monitors and real-world reference sources. You also get an integrated desktop stand and a built-in threaded insert, enabling you to set up quickly and easily. Regardless of where you are, the iLoud Micro Monitor Pro makes class-leading reference monitoring possible in any environment.

State-of-the-art ARC auto-calibration

The iLoud Micro Monitor Pro houses the most up-to-date version of IK’s industry-leading ARC auto-calibration, enabling you to quickly and easily compensate for your room’s acoustic deficiencies. With the iLoud MM Pro, you’ll be able to transform any space — home, project, mobile, or makeshift — into an ideal acoustic environment. And it’s a breeze to use — connect the included ARC measurement microphone, put it in your mix position, and run the calibration routine. If you rearrange your studio, add furniture, or move to a different room, simply run the calibration again for the flattest frequency response and best phase coherency.

Award-winning X-Monitor software support

Here at Sweetwater, we understand that referencing with at least one set of alternate studio monitors is the most effective way to ensure mixes that translate. Now, thanks to IK’s award-winning X-Monitor software, you can re-create the sonic profiles of dozens of industry-standard studio monitors right from the iLoud MM Pro — no secondary reference monitors required. You also get a cache of real-world reference systems, such as televisions, Bluetooth speakers, and smartphones so that you can make fast, easy A/B comparisons. With the IK Multimedia iLoud Micro Monitor Pro in your arsenal, you will be able to effortlessly churn out mixes that sound great everywhere.

Fantastic Small Speakers
The calibration mic and software combo, as well as the down to 40hz frequency response in a small speaker, are the reasons I bought these. Before calibration, they were good. Sitting in my normal spot versus moving back aout 40cm made a big difference in sound (cuz of untreated first reflections I think). After calibration, my normal sitting spot feels warmer, bassier, but not boomy, and moving 40cm back also sounds good, slightly more balanced I think.

I bought some cheap but quality-looking generic microphone stands (3-4kg in weight) and screwed the speakers right in, no issues.

I've attached a photo not of the product, but of the calibration results. The green/yellow is before calibration, and the orange/red is after. A huge improvement! :)

Up Your Game
I started out with JBL 305P MKII and wound up doing most of my mixing in headphones. The JBL's were a good additional reference but it became obvious early on that they were bass heavy and I just didn't trust them, especially since the bass sounded kina loose compared to what I was hearing in my headphones.

Not these iLouds. Everyone says how amazing is the bass you get out of them for their size, which is definitely true, but more I appreaciate how flat and clean and fast everything is on these.

The before/after of ARC X recalibration for my room is phenominal. I can have presets for my standing desk being up or down, or if I roll my desk to a different position in the room or move the couch. They have different flavors you can play with - just amazing little speakers. Bonus that they are so small and I can travel with them and just run ARC X there to re-calirate to the new space. Phenominal technology and it WORKS.

I am a very happy camper and wish I had these available to me when I first bought studio monitors.
Unreal - indispensable in small un (professionally) treated rooms

OK here's an actual instance of "don't believe your lying eyes," because these may LOOK like cheap 90's computer desktop speakers but they are a serious pro-audio mixing tool you want to consider. I have been mixing primarily in headphones because I haven't had the $$ for better monitors. I've been using JBL 305p MKII's for a few years because that was all I could afford. Moving to these is a quantum leap forward. They are an EXCELLENT choice for entry level audio engineers. They are about $ each more than aforementioned starter monitors, but I PROMISE YOU it's better to WAIT and get these - save for just another month or two or three or four - THEN GET THESE. You will not only have great monitors, but you have these massive benefits: 1) they come with a microphone you can use to automatically tune each monitor to accommodate acoustic problems in your room. 2) they have software that can make these mimic some ubiquitous studio monitors for reference purposes 3) if you are a newbie or even a novice, by utilizing these features you will up your game both in your mixing and in the development of your ears.

Alien Technology
I'm convinced the iLoud Micro Pro speakers were not designed by humans. Somewhere in Italy—or possibly a secret underground bunker guarded by guys in lab coats—IK Multimedia clearly reverse-engineered alien technology and said, "Yeah… let's put that in a speaker the size of a loaf of bread."

Bottom line: the iLoud Micro Pros are proof that aliens walk among us, and instead of invading Earth, they decided to help us make better mixes in small rooms. If you want speakers that punch way above their size, laugh at your room acoustics, and casually defy reality, congratulations—you've found them.

BIG accurate sound in a small box!
I've owned these now for 5 months. These are my secondary monitors. My other large mid-field monitors are sidelined right now just because they are too big. After running the calibration setup on these I was very impressed with the accuracy. The calibration setup is a little tedious and I recommend using painters tape to mark the spot where they will sit because you'll have to move the speakers a little bit to access the connections. You'll want to make sure you put the speakers back in the exact location you calibrated them in. Don't expect to be able to hear bass with these given that the drivers are only 3.5' but for eq-ing and general level balancing and monitoring these speakers are fantastic. I removed a half star only because there is a resonant frequency when the stands are pulled out. I recommend pushing the stands in and having the speaker sit flat on the stands or desk. The resonant frequency was at around 440hz which is 'A'. Highly recommended!
