The H3000’s Historic Tremolo for Your DAW
Undulator brings one of the best-known algorithms from Eventide's iconic H3000 processor directly into your DAW. At Undulator’s core is a classic AM/FM modulated tremolo, with a twist: unlike a standard tremolo, Undulator runs that modulation through a multi-tap delay with detuned echoes, giving it a complex, breathing quality that transforms ordinary sustained sounds into effects with more depth and movement. A secondary LFO modulates the primary LFO's rate and depth, so the movement never feels mechanical or predictable. The Spread control widens the stereo field by subtly detuning delays, while Feedback pushes echoes from subtle reinforcement all the way to infinite self-sustaining loops. Sweetwater musicians of all types love Undulator’s Ribbon macro, which provides real-time expressive morphing, and its full MIDI integration ensures easy live rig control. Put these features together, and Undulator becomes less of an effect and more of an instrument — one with an impressive studio pedigree behind it.

Eventide: pioneering digital effects for over four decades
In the 1970s, Eventide put digital effects on the map with its groundbreaking Digital Delay and Harmonizer units. In the early ’80s, Eventide debuted the first rackmount multi-effects processor: the SP2016. Every studio worth its salt had to have one for its reverbs alone, much less for its other one-of-a-kind effects. The SP2016’s successor, the H3000, introduced a cornucopia of new effects and was the must-have rackmount processor of the ’90s. The H4000 and H8000 followed, introducing the concept of surround sound reverb, which the H9000 takes to even greater heights of stunning realism. Meanwhile, Eventide expanded its effects expertise into high-end guitar multi-effects pedals. And as computer audio became a major force in music and sound production, Eventide entered the software arena with plugins that emulate its acclaimed hardware.
