Want absolutely astounding sound and fair price? T10 with a pair of R65 - BOOM! (literally)

Im not bashing JBL. They obviously produce decent gear on the high end, however their entry level gear might not live up to the JBL name. I swapped out my JBL305 and JBL LSR310S after some reoccurring peculiar sound issue on the 305s and somewhat under power sub for a 10". They seemed great for the price at the time, but live and learn you get what you pay for I guess. More disappointed than expected after trying to love them. JBL at this level seemed sub par for detailed playback on a variety of mixes and poor sound keyboards and guitar directly connected. I repurposed them them for computer speakers and that seems to be the best fit as the sound tends to be more enhanced rather than flat. Gamer's delight perhaps. Basically, I simply wanted something better that would not break the bank. I recently read some reviews on gear in my price range, so I finally decided to upgrade Temblor T10 paired with the Prosonus R65. Wow! Wow! Wow! For about $1K* total ( *call Sweetwater) I cant believe the detail of sound and clarity I was missing. Exceptional sound and quality at a such a fair price. The low end frequency of the T10 delivers surprisingly clean and extremely detailed beyond my expectations with out any boomy or flabby sound. If you need to go very low the T10 has the power to shake the paint off the walls if you like that sort of thing. But for the purist and audio critics, the T10 paired with the R65's "honest" AMT tweeter is just stunning pure clarity in every range with. You dont need to spend thousands+ to get the sound this combo delivers at a fraction. That's all I really wanted and Presonus delivered. I know this sounds like a pitch but I dont work for Sweetwater of Presonus. I really don't care where or what you buy, Im just happy with my choice and wanted to share a my purchase process and great sound experience. Rock on!

Finally, a sub with perfect features

Before I get to the sound, wrap your head around the features: Variable low pass crossover -- tune that point where the speakers take over to get the best bass response and sound for literally any room. Then adjust the variable gain to get the most out of the insanely good internal amp (zero hum or extraneous noise, just clean powerful bass), then crank that sh*t up because it can not only take it, but vibrate the pictures off the walls in your house. This sub, unlike just about every sub I've encountered in this price range, doesn't strain to get the job done. Then there's the foot switch. Oh my dear sweet baby jesus, that foot pedal. Tap it and the sub is bypassed, just the speakers you have hooked up play. I didn't know I needed it, didn't have any particular reason to want it, but it came with it. Had a eureka moment when I realized I can bypass the sub, crank up my bass guitar amp, and practice with, oh, whatever Spotify has. Easy, not perfect (I don't get that kick drum thump to listen to while bassing, but snare works too), but sweet for banging out a new song. One foot tap, and now I jam with the full sound. OK the sound. It has punch, deeeeeeeeeep bottom whump, and you feel it more than hear it. Except for when you really hear it, like when it's seamlessly adding big authority to the upper range of the low end, the 100-120hz part that adds dimension and depth to the ocean of bass. I hear stuff in music that I simply didn't know was there before. Love this thing.

THUMP

All I can say is that this sub thumps. I mean it really, really thumps. Yet it can be warm and smooth. Plus that, any sub that comes with a footswitch that says "Stomp to bring bump" on it... you can't go wrong.

Earthshaking

Simply did not anticipate this thing hitting so low or so hard. Honestly, you have to hear it to believe it. Paired with a set of their Sceptre S6 monitors, my vDrums sound amazing, accurate, deep, and loud. The foot switch is a great inclusion for late night sessions. A must have!

Great for any home studio

My Sweetwater SE Brandon Eden make a great recommendation when he suggested this to me. I'm finally able to hear the entire frequency range while mixing. I just thought I was hearing everything and now mixes are "traveling" much better. I record mostly acoustic so I need to bring the house down, however it's great to hear it all when you need to. The included footswitch enables to A/B very quickly and then tells the story of what's missing without it.
