The Timeless Appeal of the Stratocaster

The Squier Vintage Modified Stratocaster sports a basswood body, a maple neck, and a 9.5" radius rosewood fretboard. The traditional maple neck is tinted to resemble a vintage Strat neck. The long-familiar Strat tone is managed with a duo of Duncan Designed single-coil pickups for clear, bright Strat tones plus a humbucker for versatility. A vintage-style synchronized tremolo rounds out the feature set.

Vintage Touches

From top to bottom, the Squier Vintage Modified Stratocaster features vintage touches that make this guitar feel like an old friend from the past. It's got a '70s-style headstock, larger than the modern style, and vintage-style hardware looks period-correct too. The tinted maple neck, the parchment dot inlays, and the aged white pickup covers all add to the vintage vibe.

Amazing Strat

I own a 2004 hh model in purple metalflake w/black pick guard in unaltered condition like brand new-a testament to the longevity of this beautiful guitar, I play it daily as I do my other guitars and it has never let me down, this Strat covers all the bases in all genres, I play rock, blues, country and jazz on this tone machine and am always blown away with it, the polyurethane finish just ignores sweat and fingerprints after a long jam and cleans up like new, as with all of my Fender gear this workhorse has been by my side since it was newborn, the rosewood fretboard is lightning fast thanks to the "c" shape neck and will keep you playing comfortably all day long. I highly recommend this guitar for beginners and professionals alike because of it's ease of play. Enjoy
Music background: 55 yrs on the guitar

What a suprise

Amazing guitar. I play a PRS custom 22 and a Les Paul Custom. I have wanted a Strat and bought an American Special which didn't give me what I hoped for. I also have a Highway One Tele which is now for sale.Bought this on a whim do to its playability just to have something to mod. I can't put it down. It doesn't need a thing. Unbelievably clean fit and finish. The pickups sound great through my engnater renegade and my blackstar combo. What a great find. Buy one you can't go wrong
Music background: 30 year player of classic and modern rock. Twice a week bar band

Excellent Value

I own several Fender Stratocasters both MIA and MIM. I purchased this Squier VM Strat with the intent of modding it. However I am so pleased with it I decided to leave it stock. The finish is excellent, I love the vintage tint neck, and the Duncan designed pick- ups which are very bright. The quality between the higher end Squier guitars and their Fender siblings is very close. I was so pleased with this guitar I also purchased a 70's Vintage Modified Strat in black and maple.

Sweetwater Advice

Kenny Bergle

I own one of these. I bought it for the color (love Eric Clapton's that's a similar color) and will keep it for the playability. Could not imagine how well this guitar plays for the $$. The Duncan-designed humbucker pickup does sound better than my other strat pickups. The rosewood fretboard on my guitar is beautifully varigated and figured, more than on any of my high dollar guitars - simply amazing! Also the vintage-yellow neck stain is stunning. Many have mistaken this guitar for a vintage custom shop, until they see the Squier logo. Now I can have a good-feeling Strat with me at all times, no matter what the environment. (And the color IS way cool too!)
