The Eventide SplitEQ parametric EQ plug-in offers an entirely new level of sound-shaping potential, thanks to its innovative Structural Split engine. With its ability to separately process the transients and tonal core of your audio, SplitEQ is a fast and effective tool for de-essing, stereo widening, transient shaping, and much more. Transient and Tonal elements can even be panned independently for fine-tuning your stereo image. Complete with real-time spectral analysis of Transient and Tonal streams, and the ability to adjust the Split point for fine-tuning or sonic experimentation, the Eventide SplitEQ plug-in will have you rethinking what's possible with an EQ plug-in.

Note: SplitEQ requires an iLok account for authorization, but does not require the physical iLok dongle.

Independently process Transient and Tonal streams

By separating your audio into Transient and Tonal streams, SplitEQ is effectively two EQs in one. Need to reduce the ring of a snare drum without sacrificing its chunky attack? Filter out the ring in the Tonal realm, while leaving the Transient stream untouched. Having trouble de-essing a vocal transparently? Reduce the offending frequencies in the Transient realm while using the Tonal processing for overall sweetening. Between having full control over Transient and Tonal elements, plus the ability to work in either left-right or mid-side modes, Sweetwater is sure you'll be impressed with the amount of sonic control SplitEQ offers.

A Must-Have For Metal Producers

Being able to shape the transients of the tracks you're working on is a life saver for dense metal mixes.

Have a snare that needs more aggression?
Need to de-bleed cymbals from your close mics?
Want to sooth the harsh/scratchy attack on a heavily distorted bass track without ruining the tone?
Want to add punch to your kick without becoming boomy?
This plugin does it all, and then some.

The user interface does feel a clunky, but I'm just nitpicking.

Wow very cool EQ ! I wish I had this for Video / audio editing job I had that was given to me in only 2 channel to clean up . I had to do some tricks for sure and this would have probably cut the time down more .

Amazing EQ

I've only just started using this EQ. Just using the presets will yield amazing mixing results on vocals, guitars, bass, and drums, etc. Then, if you need something to sound more to your taste, you can tweak the results to suit you. If you feel like you might have overdone it, you can go back to the excellent preset, which already sounds great, and start tweaking again. You can EQ the tone and the transients or each independently. Amazing EQ.
