The tremolo effect - a brief explanation

Tremolo essentially sounds like somebody is rapidly turning the volume of your guitar up and down. Tremolo first started being incorporated into guitar amplifiers in the 1950s, most notably by Fender, where it was mistakenly referred to as "vibrato" (oddly enough, the vibrato arm on their guitars was referred to as a "tremolo bar"). The Skyline Trem's effect replicates the tone of the photoelectric tremolo, which was used in later amplifiers, particularly the Fender Blackface amps of the 1960s. The photoelectric tremolo proved extremely popular with surf musicians during that time. A timeless classic, the tremolo effect has continued to be utilized by modern artists including (but not limited to) R.E.M., The Black Keys, and Radiohead.

The Hotone Skyline Series - tiny and stylish

Less than two inches high, less than three inches long, and weighing in at less than 7 ounces, the Hotone Skyline Series of stompboxes offers a compact design, rugged build, and flexible tone. Encompassing a variety of effects including a looper, tuner, delay, octaver, tremolo, various overdrive and distortion effects, and more, all Skyline pedals have a durable zinc alloy outer cover, a transparent top knob that is lit up by two LED lights, and two other knobs that glow in the dark. Each pedal also has a button that gives you more tonal options. These pedals also have a metal bar to prevent you from accidentally moving the knobs with your foot when stomping on the footswitch. The Hotone Skyline Series delivers massive sound in a microscopic package!

Love these tiny pedals!

These pedals are awesome. Especially since they are cheaper. You can fit many more on your pedal board and they are on par with any other band of pedals. I have the tremolo and tuner which can be used as a clean boost. Definitely worth it!

Small & Cool

Bought it on a whim, not much into Reverb or Trem (love delay too much!) it's the tiniest pedal I've every seen, but it looks solid. Does a great trem effect, but not as swampy as C.C.R. and the hard side is a little to hard for my taste. Might not have a permanent place on the board but it is a keeper all the same.
