Your Dream Rack, Reborn in Software
The Reason Rack plugin re-creates the unmistakable feel of working with a real hardware rack, but with the added convenience of living inside your DAW of choice. Open it up, and you’re greeted with a digital rack space ready to be filled with Reason’s full catalog of synthesizers, samplers, drum machines, MIDI Player effects, and creative processors, each rendered with the look and tactile spirit of classic studio gear. Drop a device into the rack, and it slots into place just like the real thing. Flip the rack around, and you’ll find every input, output, and CV jack, ready to be patched together with virtual cables in any configuration you can dream up. The free-form routing is what truly sets the Reason Rack apart, opening the door to layered instruments, evolving textures, and signal chains that conventional plugins can’t match. Add tempo sync, full automation, and the option to expand further with Rack Extension plugins, and your dream rack can keep growing right alongside you. An indispensable studio and performance tool for beat makers, producers, sound designers, and musicians, Reason Rack brings customizable sonic control to your workflow.

Everything at your fingertips
Finding the right sound in Reason Rack is easier than ever. For starters, all of its content — sound banks, Reason Studios devices, and Sound Packs alike — is now categorized and tagged. What's more, anything that's not already tagged right from the factory can be tagged by you. Moreover, Reason Rack's upgraded Browser enables you to filter your search results using name, kind, category, tag, and more. Just type what you're searching for, and the Browser will offer suggestions, or you can use the Category and Tag buttons to filter your way to a new sound. With Reason Rack, finding sounds is a seamless operation that doesn't interrupt your creative flow.
Significant Sequencer enhancements
Reason Rack's powerful Sequencer has always been at the core of its inspiring creative environment. With Reason Rack, the Sequencer has been split in two, sporting a new Edit Area that allows you to get downright tweaky with your details without losing sight of your arrangement. The Sequencer also brandishes several workflow enhancements, such as improved zooming, layout changes, and easy access to editing features.
Polytone dual-layer synthesizer
Music creators with a penchant for vintage hardware will find the new Polytone instrument eminently invigorating. This old-school synthesizer churns out an ear-grabbing array of warm, analog-style textures that will please even the stingiest of synth aficionados. Furthermore, Polytone incorporates two layers that you can stack for super-fat sounds or morph between to craft evolving soundscapes. Polytone offers the perfect synergy of classic sounds and modern functionality.

Ripley Space Delay
The new Ripley Space Delay is a vintage-style effect that combines delay and reverb with tantalizing filtering, noise, and distortion. With the Ripley, you can cook up a wide range of delay flavors — whether you're aiming for clean taps, warm analog repeats, lo-fi chirps, or washed-out ambience, this effect will add just the right depth and character to your music.
Brand-new Reason tools
Reason Rack comes with three new tools that are guaranteed to boost your workflow. The Sidechain tool offers effective signal ducking, along with Auto Pump for club-ready thumping, Trigger to play rhythms via MIDI, and a traditional Sidechain mode for classic sidechain compression. The Gain tool enables you to fine-tune your signal levels, stereo panning, and routing from a single, easy-to-use interface. Lastly, the Stereo tool is a stereo widener that you can use to make any signal sound bigger. With these three devices in your toolbox, you'll be able to spend less time on tedious tasks and more time making music.

Reason Rack: there's nothing else like it
Experiment and have fun as you patch audio and control voltages freely between devices in the rack to build truly monstrous sounds. Use samples in Europa's Spectral Filter to generate sample-based filter curves — or draw your own. Process a guitar through Thor's LFOs, envelopes, and step sequencer. Drop a sample into Grain and marvel at the endless sonic mutations you can create with its available playback algorithms, modulation, routing, and effects. Patch a vocal through Radical Piano's audio input to enhance it with shimmering grand piano string and body resonance. Try that with any other DAW! You get the idea. Simply put, there is no other plugin like Reason Rack.
