Need More Me?

The Behringer Powerplay P1 personal in-ear monitor amplifier puts monitor mix control into your hands. When you're onstage, stop trying to flag down the sound engineer for your monitor mix tweaks. Instead, turn yourself up when needed. If you're a studio engineer, the Powerplay P1's dual inputs put the cue mix in the musician's hands and let you focus on the main mix. Powered by battery or optional power supply, the level and balance/mix controls give you the tools you need to create your perfect monitor mix. Incredibly useful onstage or in the studio, Behringer's Powerplay P1 personal in-ear monitor amplifier is a budget-friendly solution to your monitoring woes.

Take care of your most important instrument

Sweetwater engineers and musicians know their primary instrument is their ears, and so is yours! By wearing in-ear monitors or headphones onstage instead of using a floor monitor, your ears are protected from screaming amps and hard-hitting drummers, and the isolation keeps your ears focused on your mix. You won't need nearly as much volume, and you'll get a better monitoring experience. Behringer respects how important your hearing is as a performer, too, so the P1 also includes a built-in limiter to protect your ears even further.

Easily get "more me"

There's nothing wrong with needing "more me," and the P1's powerful headphone output makes sure you'll be able to hear yourself perfectly no matter how loud things get onstage. Get the band together for rehearsal and use your digital audio mixer to dial in and save everyone's monitor mix — cut your soundcheck time down to nothing and finally take advantage of all those auxiliary outputs. Dual XLR inputs give you two channels of signal that you can use in mono or stereo mode, so you have the power to hear yourself and blend in the perfect amount of the band. Slip the P1 on your belt and get the best monitoring experience you've ever had — your band and the audience will thank you!

What about studio monitoring?

The 9-volt battery operation and rugged metal chassis make the P1 perfect for the stage, but what about the studio? As an engineer, the P1 puts the control of balance and volume into the hands of the musicians, leaving you to focus on the tracking. As a musician, control your mix and level without having to stop in the middle of a take. Using an optional power supply, you can set up a permanent monitoring station by mounting the device to a mic stand — run your input cables once and easily do all the cue signal routing within your DAW.

Behringer Powerplay P1 Features:

  • High-powered headphone output with limiter protects your ears; loud enough for drummers
  • Dual XLR inputs, mono or stereo operation, and Level and Balance controls give you control over your monitor mix
  • Convenient belt-clip and 9V battery with dual LED capacity indicators keep you grooving onstage
  • Use with an optional power supply and mount on a standard mic stand for a permanent studio monitoring station

Reviews

Great Product at a Great Price
I wasn't sure how this was going to work out for my drummer and backup vocalists, after giving it a try in rehearsals and finally at a show, I'm very impressed with the outcome. Solid construction, no extra noises and the sound was amazing!
My only concerns are the battery lid and battery fit.
The lid is hard to take off and hard to lock in place and the battery fit is tight.

good inexpensive bit of kit
see video!
works great, especially if you wanna listen to your iPhone with an stereo adapter cable, better sound for the band bus lol
or
use headphone output and hear your keys rig or guitar modeler in full stereo and not lug monitors around.
Works great with just your Apple buds.
If you have one of the pocket size battery powered modeling units that except your phones stereo output, this is an unbelievably good way to practice when you're traveling without having to plug in. I'm volt battery lasts a really long time. And it's quite good sound with no added hissI
Mostly I think people will use it like a drummer would, to hear a wedge feed without having a big monitor blasting them out, but I like these off label uses as a portable great sound amplifier.

After many years I decided to try in ear monitors. We've been using floor monitors. I tried this with my KZ IEMs. It made it very easy to hear all the instruments while lowering the decibels in my ear. Light clipped to my belt and was easy to dial in the volume. Used it in mono mode. I also tried it attached to a short stand behind me with it plugged in. Used a 6 ft phono extension cord to my IEMs. Worked great! Not sure which method I will stick with. I'm a drummer and could not be more pleased. Our singer used one as well on a stand behind her with a phono extension cord. She loved it! It did not impede her singing and dancing. Much less strain on her voice now that she hears better. We are very glad we didn't spend a ton of money for the more expensive IEMs and amps. These work great!
