Reviews

Review of Gator Frameworks GFW-MIC-2020 Tripod Mic Stand
This mic stand works great for my home studio and is sturdy, love it. I don't use the boom much though so I can't review that part.

Mic Stands
I now have two of these boom stands to hold up a pair of overhead Earthworks mics on the drums.
The stands defy Gravity perfectly.

This stand provides exactly what I needed!
I was in need of a mic stand for a home recording setup. I record both voiceovers and acoustic guitar (seated) as well as sing vocals (standing) for tracking sessions. Whether lowered or raised, this stand has a strong arm that holds up my microphone as well as 2 peripherals (sE Reflexion Filter Pro + a Pop Filter) with ease. I am very pleased with this mic stand and would recommend it to anyone!

Obnoxious labels
I got this stand at a discount store, probably wouldn't have bought it for the price here on Sweetwater. It's OK, but I find the Gator FRAMEWORKS labels in two different spots very obnoxious and intrusive. I covered them with gaff tape. Also there are red accents rings on the legs, I went to sharpie over it and realized they were removable! I also don't know why the washers at the ends are so wide. Maybe there's a reason, but it's unusual. This is not the heaviest stand I've used but has some nice weight to it and the knobs are nice.
My Mic Stand
This stand is light but durable. I like it.
