Delivers Huge Marshall Tone

The MG15G is loaded with pure Marshall tone. You get your choice of Clean and Overdrive channels that you can shape with a 3-band EQ. Best of all, each channel's settings are storable and recallable. The MG15G is loud enough to rattle the windows during practice sessions, while its revolutionary solid-state design convincingly emulates a tube amp's tone and response. Beyond that, the MG15G supplies you with a line input for music players and emulated headphone and line outputs. Part of Marshall's MG Gold series, the MG15G is a great-sounding practice amp.

From the music store to stages everywhere

Jim Marshall didn't start out building great amps. In fact, his entry into the amp world came about in part because the drummers that visited his music shop for equipment and lessons often brought along their guitar players. Conversations about their amplification needs led to the birth of a line of amps that would eventually change the sound of music. From those first humble creations to Pete Townshend's first monster full stacks; from the mid-'60s combos to Hendrix to backlines of multiple Marshall rigs, there's a reason why so many guitarists (including quite a few here at Sweetwater) swear by Marshall amps. Try one out and see for yourself!

Marshall MG15G Features:

Reviews

Awesome practice amp, just use it the right way.
For months, I struggled to get an actual good tone out of this thing. My mistake? I had it sitting stacked on top of my bass amp. Once I tried putting it directly on the floor? Boom, instant marshall tone. It'll make the same sounds as your higher end marshall amps, if you like marshall amps and want a practice amp, get this. Also, it gets LOUD for a 15 watt amp, makes my ibanez gta15r sound quiet.

Great Little Amp
I purchased this little guy for quiet practicing after the wife and kids go to bed. It sounds great at low volume and it can kick a little bit when you want it to. It ain't gonna fill Madison Square Garden but it's great for a porch or party session. I really like the easy-access aux input and headphone jacks. It's perfect for my purposes. The best part about purchasing this amp was the amazing Sweetwater service. I had originally ordered a different one. About an hour after placing my order a Sweetwater rep CALLED ME ON THE PHONE to tell me the one I'd ordered was out of stock and would take quite a while to arrive. He changed my order to this one on the spot and it was at my door in 3 days. This is the kind of thing that keeps me coming back to Sweetwater! I added a pic of this amp next to my Mexican Strat for size reference.

best customer service ever
Im starting to get into playing the guitar so I decided to buy an MG15G as a good starting place. After about 2 weeks I get a call from customer sercive and they just wanted to know if my prodict was ok and doing what it was supposed to do. Never seen any other company do this, greatest customer service Ive ever seen
Great practice amp
Love this little amo! It is the perfect size for a bedroom practice session, loud enough to jam along to the stereo and backing tracks, but not so loud as to get complaints from roommates or neighbors. The clean channel is exactly that, clean and clear, and the gain channel has great tones that can easily be shaped by the gain, bass, and treble knobs, from classic rock to 80s hair metal, this amp will do it! Glad I got it, and I highly recommend it. And gotta say a huge thanks to Tiberius, so knowledgeable about music gear and has all the answers to your questions!!!
Perfect for home practice!
I admit...I'm a basement legend. I play, purely, for the fun of it.

That said...I've owned multiple amps from multiple manufacturers...and this Marshall MG15 is the PERFECT amp for practice at home, and/or generic enjoyment of a guitar without a dozen pedals to mess with.

It is louder than one would expect from an amp of this size, and the tones are fantastic.

I am 100% pleased with the Marshall MG15, and I believe anyone else who's looking at one would be, too.

And...as always...Sweetwater was an absolute pleasure to work with.

There are countless "British"-style guitar amplifiers out there, but take it from the lifelong guitarists and tone connoisseurs at Sweetwater, when it comes to Marshall tone, there's nothing like the real thing. We've played them all, from vintage JTM45s and the ultra-cool Plexi reissue to modern handmade masterpieces such as the JVM410. There isn't a model among them we can't recommend with total confidence, and that includes their more affordable models too, like MG, DSL, and Code series amps. Thanks to our tight relationship with Marshall, Sweetwater's always on the cutting edge of their latest designs, custom models, and limited-edition gems. If you want iconic tone from across the pond, you want Marshall, and your Sweetwater Sales Engineer will help you find the perfect one.
