Marshall MG15G 1x8" 15-watt Combo Amp Reviews
The MG15G is loaded with pure Marshall tone. You get your choice of Clean and Overdrive channels that you can shape with a 3-band EQ. Best of all, each channel's settings are storable and recallable. The MG15G is loud enough to rattle the windows during practice sessions, while its revolutionary solid-state design convincingly emulates a tube amp's tone and response. Beyond that, the MG15G supplies you with a line input for music players and emulated headphone and line outputs. Part of Marshall's MG Gold series, the MG15G is a great-sounding practice amp.

Marshall MG15G 1x8" 15-watt combo amp

Tiny Terror
I love these little Marshalls. I actually own a couple and use them for teaching and practice. I also own Marshall tube amps (DSL & JVM)
I've even recorded with my MG15G - it has a great sound
Gloden Marshall
The price is right...the sound this little beast puts out is awesome. The overdrive...is dirty..grainy...brutal...just want you need to play rock and metal music...and other styles...
Bought as a practice amp...but i find myself using it more and more....
For the price....this beast is a no brainer...it is a Marshall...get it! Tried and true...
Even use it with my reg. accoustic and my classical accoustic....sounds nice.
Great small amp with a big sound.
It is what it is. A small amp. But, it sounds fantastic. Great clean tone and great dirty channel too. The thing looks awesome. Marshall all the way.
Great amp, great price
I needed an inexpensive and simple practice amp. I compared the various options available in the $100-200 range from Fender, Orange, Blackstar, Peavey, etc. ultimately I went with the Marshall. From videos, I thought it had the best overall clean AND dirty sounds. I intended to get the version with reverb on it, but Sweetwater had this one on sale at the end of the year - so I just bought an under-$50 reverb/delay/mod unit to use with it. I am more than satisfied with the choice. (1) it's very solidly built and the aesthetics are nice. (2) it sounds fantastic on both clean and gain channels - nice full sound with bass, treble and mid controls. Couldn't be happier for the money.
Great 8" amp
This amp kicks well and is great for living room jamming with YouTube's.
It's a marshall. Good clean and excellent cranked.
Perfect Combo Amp
I"ve never owned one but I"ve bought several. They are perfect. I am involved with a person who builds guitars for underserved youth, and he includes this amp with every guitar and lesson package. Imagine being thirteen or so and getting a custom guitar, lessons, and this amplifier.
Great Little Amp
I purchased this little guy for quiet practicing after the wife and kids go to bed. It sounds great at low volume and it can kick a little bit when you want it to. It ain't gonna fill Madison Square Garden but it's great for a porch or party session. I really like the easy-access aux input and headphone jacks. It's perfect for my purposes. The best part about purchasing this amp was the amazing Sweetwater service. I had originally ordered a different one. About an hour after placing my order a Sweetwater rep CALLED ME ON THE PHONE to tell me the one I'd ordered was out of stock and would take quite a while to arrive. He changed my order to this one on the spot and it was at my door in 3 days. This is the kind of thing that keeps me coming back to Sweetwater! I added a pic of this amp next to my Mexican Strat for size reference.
MG15
I use this amp for recording, and playing live.I mic it with a nady dm 70 great sound through pa.This is a great little amp for home studios, and small vinues,so all in all I love it.
Good Amp for Beginning Beginner
This little Marshall solid state combo with 8 in speaker was the first amp I ever owned. Now that I own some good lunch box amp heads and 1x12 and 2x12 cabinets, I know the combo is not very good. But at the time this little guy opened up a whole new world for me. If you progress with your practice, you will probably never play this combo. But it will serve the very useful purpose of letting you know if you even want to continue with your guitar journey.
Marshall Mg15
Lives up to all of your expectations of a convenient sized amp, yet will surprize you with how loud it can get. I plan on getting a second one to build a stereo rig!
A decent little amp
Honestly I just wanted something to muck around with at home. This amp won't give you killer tones or other nuances of a high end tube amp but for the price it's good for what I needed.
Great Inexpensive Intro Amp.
Great for an beginner's amp! Could use on board reverb though.
