Your Go-to Pedal for Your Reverb Needs

The Strymon BigSky Multidimensional Reverb multi-effects pedal offers a wide assortment of reverb effects currently on the market. Twelve different types of reverb are available with a twist of a knob, and you can deeply edit the effects and store them in the 300 onboard preset slots. And an incredibly powerful SHARC DSP powers the pedal for the best sound quality possible. The Strymon BigSky Multidimensional reverb pedal is powerful enough to be the last reverb pedal you'll ever need.

Plenty of power for your 12 styles of reverb

The reverb effects onboard the BigSky cover everything from warm springs to the ethereal washes of Strymon's shimmer setting. You'll also find reverbs like hall, room, and swell that are shaped around the most popular reverb effects in history. The SHARC DSP engine ensures you will achieve the best sound quality possible from this unit. And Strymon added further editing options for these sounds, so you can create new textures and tones as you see fit. Store those sounds in the 300 presets, and you'll have instant access to a world of reverb effects.

Deep editing capabilities

The reverbs in the BigSky are far from just re-creations of vintage tones. While the sounds in the unit are based around many iconic 'verbs, Strymon added enough tone-shaping features to ensure you have full control over getting the sound you need for your application. The two parameter knobs on the front plate can be individually assigned to control various qualities per preset. And there's enough I/O on the back to run the BigSky in stereo, control it via MIDI, and even plug in an expression pedal for real-time parameter control.

Powerful I/O

If the sound quality of the Big Sky Reverb were all it offered, that would be plenty. But there is much more under the hood of this powerful ambience device. Around back you'll find a wide array of inputs and outputs to integrate it flawlessly into your rig, no matter how involved it may be. A set of stereo ins and outs is easy to navigate. An expression pedal input allows you to control various parameters on the fly with an optional expression pedal. And the MIDI ports make instantly accessing your favorite sounds a breeze.

Strymon: a philosophy of quality

Strymon pedals are quickly becoming an industry standard in professional-quality effects. They're dedicated to offering exceptional customer service and, in their own words, making "gear that sounds better than anything you've ever heard." This California-based company uses only the highest-quality components and powerful processors in their pedals. And each design offers more tweakable parameters than meets the eye for fine-tuning your tone. This construction and sound quality is the reason Sweetwater is impressed with Strymon, and why you find their processors on the pedalboards of professional musicians around the world.

Why are you even reading this?

Truth is that if you knew the quality and capabilities of this pedal, you wouldn't even have a need to check the reviews. You have probably watched YouTube videos already and then came to the best online musician superstore (Sweetwater) because you are entertaining the thought of buying it. Quit wasting your time! BUY IT! I've experimented with reverbs and I locked myself for starting cheap and at the bottom, moving up from one pedal to the next, only to finally arrive at the first and only one I should have had! The BigSky! I spent more money cycling through those pedals than I did buying the BigSky. I tell you what...if anyone has a negative review on here, they are on crack and don't know what the heck a reverb pedal does!

Reverb Plus

Have had this for about a month, very impressed and still learning new sounds and configurations. I feel this is a very good do it all reverb. Seems to handle all the basics reverb sounds well but really excels at the ambient sorta stuff and the bonus of being able to save the patches for quick recall is great. Strymon did great with this pedal. First time I've ever purchased from Sweetwater and definitely won't be the last. As others have said, customer service is great, they treat you as an individual not a number and far exceeds what I'm use to.

Purely Magical!

Sold several pedals in order to buy this one, and it was the best thing I could have done for my pedal board. I love that there are so many amazing presets so that, right out of the box, the pedal is incredibly useful. Buttons are nice and don't have that annoying "click" sound, but it's still very easy to tell when you've pressed the button. Strymon has nailed it, and with the wide range of possibilities, this can act as so much more than a simple reverb pedal. Just make sure you have the correct power adapter since this does't run off your standard power supply. Excellent for worship music!

Studio Reverb at Your Feet!

If you know true studio reverbs, not cheap plugins but real verbs, this pedal is going to blow your mind! Plenty of types and variations to choose from... MIDI capability is top notch! Not enough can be said of this brilliant reverb effect! The price is the hardest hump to get over, until you plug it in... But hey, studios were saying the same thing in the 80's about $18K for the Lexicon 480L... But it became a staple... The Big Sky will become one as well for those who are absolute nuggets for reverb, and so much more!!!

Studio Standard

Man, I got this pedal before Sweetwater carried Strymon. This beast is a standard unit for multi-purpose studio and live use. First of all, the pedal is magic for guitar - let it be through an amplifier or using a DI recording rig. Even the cabinet filter switch on the back, by itself, is noteworthy and crucial for DI recording. Plug in some synthesizers through it and you will get next level sounds. I barely even use presets because you can tweak the knobs to your heart's content. Sounds super wet. Stereo recording is a good call. So having the appropriate preamp, interface, or two guitar amps to plug into is a great move. I even called Strymon and they told me they record videos DI in stereo. Good stuff. I am a guitar player, but I also engineer sessions recording vocals and other instruments. I did not like the Big Sky for vocals, but you can definitely run keyboards and different types of guitar rigs through it to get some awesome sounds. This is a standard pedal for guitarists. Most definitely one of the centerpieces of my rig. Always impresses clients and other musicians. I own other Strymon pedals and they are equally exceptional.
