Got a call from Chris Lewis a few week's back, he basically was just checking up on me... I purchased 2 custom shop silverburst standards back in the day from sweetwater, and haven't had time to do anything musically related over the last year or so. Chris gave me a courtesy call, and I told him that I wasn't doing anything musically at the moment, but If I ever did, I'd let him know. Well, sure enough, out of the blue, to my luck, I got a gig playing for a rad band, and It's time to get a new amp... I'll be purchasing the EVH 5150III 100 watt in ivory thanks to Chris Lewis. Good job dude, your timing was perfect. Keep up the great customer relations champ.

Very nice indeed.

I already have a 412 loaded with Greenbacks so I have a lot mileage with the kind of tones that one gets with these kind of speakers. I read the EVH's are Celestion Heritage G12M's. This cab sounds awesome and excels at anything blues, rock & hard rock I play. Right now I'm running an OR15 through it. Ive only used my "hard rock" guitar an EC1000 with 57/60 EMG's so far. It sounds much better through this cab. Ive a Strat and Tele waiting their turn cause I'm having so much fun with the ESP. Also I'm waiting for my JMP 2203 to be finished getting reworked and it will be riding this cab too although I'll have to watch my wattage levels with it. Tone wise the bottom is rich and defined. The mids are warm and juicy and the highs are clear and musical. No flab, no mud & no harshness. Nothing but great useable tone. It's solid as an Oak and heavy as one too.LOL The cab coming with pop in castors is much appreciated. That helped get it where I needed it. Best sounding cab I've ever had and the speakers aren't even close to being broke in yet. I want another one...

Excellent Cabinet!

I was using my 5150III HD head with two Mesa Boogie 2x12 cabs and it sounded great. I had a few people tell me that I was yet to hear the best of my amp until I tried it with the matching 4x12 cabinet from EVH. Well, I must admit, they were absolutely correct! The voicing of the Celestion G12EVH speakers was meant for this amp. The bottom end is just amazing, and the mids and highs are just liquid smooth. Yes, it's large and awfully heavy, but great tone sometimes comes with a price. It's built like a tank, the birch construction is very durable and obviously road-worthy or EVH himself wouldn't be using them. Would be nice if they included a slip cover like Mesa, but that's a very small complaint. If you don't mind the weight and price, this is a truly amazing cabinet that I suspect would make ANY head sound awesome.
