Comfortable Grand Concert body style provides excellent tonal balance

One of Taylor's most comfortable body styles, the 322ce's smaller-than-average Grand Concert shape is the perfect fit for anyone looking for a more manageable instrument. Its compact body and short-scale neck make the 322ce a particularly good fit for fingerstylists and players who have a shorter reach.

Rich tone and looks from a mahogany/blackwood design

A tropical mahogany top gives the Taylor 322ce its complex lows and controlled midrange. Back and sides made from Tasmanian blackwood - a cousin of koa wood - enhance harmonic content and give this guitar a custom look under stage lights. A dark stain gives the mahogany top a moody look to match its complex sound.

Taylor Expression System 2 electronics deliver superior sound onstage

Artists who play plugged in will appreciate the natural-sounding Taylor Expression System 2 (ES2) electronics onboard the 322ce acoustic guitar. This system features a three-section proprietary pickup located behind the guitar's saddle for clear and accurate sound reproduction. A master volume control and a pair of tone controls let you tweak your sound and output from the stage, and a discreet phase switch offers vital onboard feedback suppression. For direct tone you can depend on, Sweetwater guitarists recommend Taylor ES2 electronics.

This guitar makes me smile :)

I have owned this guitar for two months now. I love it because it's perfect in every way. Enough said.

This is a beautiful guitar in both looks and sound. I am not that talented of a guitarist but this 322ce is so easy to play that I have improved in just a few weeks. I have small hands and the scale being 24.87 helps very much. The tone is balanced extremely well and is mellow but even from highs to lows. The workmanship is flawless and I can see other Taylors's in my future. I love it!The case is perfect and fits nice and snug. I can't imagine a guitarist to give this instrument anything less than a top rating.

Wonderful purchase experience

I arrived on a Sunday at opening and was immediately greeted by a cheerful associate focused on helping me find what I was looking for. They pulled several guitars from the warehouse and left me alone to play for approximately 2 hours. They checked back periodically, but never once seemed pushy. I finally had my short list down to two guitars and this Taylor 322ce eventually won out over the Gibson LG2 American Eagle... but by the slimmest of margins. I've owned this guitar for nearly a month now, I've played it for many hours... I easily have 100+ hours of play time behind this guitar at this point. The warmth of the lows exceeds what you'd typically find in a smaller bodied guitar such as this, while still being very balanced. It has wonderful volume as well. Very responsive to a lighter touch too. Many people's only experience with sweetwater is mail order purchases. I would STRONGLY advise making the trip for your next purchase if at all possible. This is possibly the largest brick and mortar musical instrument store on the planet. I am fortunate that I can drive there under 4 hours (one way). A day here is time we'll spent and an experience you'll remember fondly.

Already My Favorite Guitar!

I just received this guitar today, which is incredible as it is seeing as I ordered it yesterday afternoon! (Gotta love that always spectacular Sweetwater service) I've been playing around with it for three hours, basically since I got it, and WOW...this guitar is absolutely perfect! It's blowing me away! Right out of the box, it sounded awesome. I barely had to tune it, which I wasn't expecting at all! Sweetwater did an incredible job setting up the guitar and packing it. The sound it produces from the blackwood is so rich and warm as well as it packs in a lot punch. The action is just right, so it's super easy for me to play; I can effortlessly glide up and down the fret board with little pressure and form barre chords with ease, which is something that was a bit of a challenge with my 210e simply due to the larger body size and the way the neck and action is on it. The grand concert body size is absolutely perfect and very comfortable both on my lap and when I have a strap on it. All around AWESOME guitar that looks and sounds incredibly beautiful. I have no compliments whatsoever with my new guitar; it's perfect! Thanks again to Sweetwater for providing the best customer service out there and providing musicians such as myself with necessary tools to go about their musical adventures. I will definitely buy another guitar from Sweetwater in the future! Customer for life!

Sweetwater delivered this guitar with their typical outstanding service. After playing it for a couple weeks and using it at 2 shows, here are my initial impressions: 1. The fresh wood smells really, really good! 2. Visually, it is stunning in an understated way. The lack of loud bling makes the beauty of the wood really shine. The piece of blackwood they used on the back is stunning for a 300 series guitar. Love the new inlays on the fretboard. The finish work is just as perfect as my 500-800 series Taylors. 3. I checked every note on the neck checking for dead frets. None. Every note rings out clear and true. 4. The action is great right out of the box. The short scale is easy on my fretting hand. It is easier to play stretchy chords cleanly. It feels real good in my hands and the GC body size is quite comfortable whether sitting or standing. I do notice the HD light strings when bending, it's just a tad stiff, but otherwise they are fine. 5. The tone - it is different than the mahogany/sapele combo. It has it's own voice, warm, woody and clear. The blackwood seems rounder. Very clear. I can pick out every note even on 5-6 note chords. The bass is very present, but balanced with the sweet highs in an almost koa like way. It is surprising how loud it can get for a small body. I expected it to be a bit quieter. It has a great dynamic range. Sounds great all the way thru from super soft to super loud. It works great for fingerstyle, the notes pop out easy with little effort. When I lean into it harder with a pick, it goes into this smooth compressed sound that is awesome! The dynamic range is really cool. You can finesse it as it has impressive touch sensitivity. 6. Plugged into a Bose L1 it sounds great with zero issues with low end feedback. The bigger bodies always seem to have a hot spot in the low end. This one is clean & balanced....delicious really! The low end is just right, round and present with great definition and the highs are sweet without being brittle. To sum it all up, this is a great guitar! I can't find anything to complain about. That's weird. I used this at a few gigs and I found it to be very versitile. I used it on the fingerstyle songs in the set and also on some strummer songs. It really shined on the instrumentals. I did have to tame the mids a tad when accompanying the vocalist. Overall it looks, feels and sounds great! Happy guitar player!!
