Taylor 300

The 300 series now offers players a choice between a solid spruce top with solid sapele back and sides, or a solid mahogany top with solid blackwood back and sides. Each pairing has its own unique tonal signature. The spruce and sapele combo is renowned for its clear, articulate tone that tips the EQ toward the high and midrange ends, yielding a punchy output. Meanwhile, the mahogany and blackwood pairing has a similar sonic signature to the spruce and sapele pairing, but with slightly more midrange and lower end. Either of these 300 series tonewood pairings is perfect for robust, open-chord strumming or more subtle fingerpicking styles.

All guitars in the 300 series feature Taylor’s legendary V-Class bracing. With the 300 series V-Class bracing design, each instrument is both stiff and flexible — with a resulting boost in both sustain and volume, as well as enhanced intonation.

The Taylor 312ce is just one of the fine acoustics in the 300 series. With its deep cutaway allowing wonderful access up and down the mahogany neck and ebony fingerboard, this Grand Concert acoustic is a favorite among live performers. The smaller Grand Concert body also features a tapered waist that makes it ideal for both stage and studio.

A new instrument featured in the 300 series, the Grand Pacific, is a bold dreadnought body acoustic that delivers big volume and a wonderfully blended, balanced tone.

Fine appointments in the 300 series include a graphite nut, a bone saddle, black binding, and Taylor’s small diamond inlays in Italian acrylic along the fingerboard. It’s the mixture of quality materials, impeccable craftsmanship, and fine appointments that makes the Taylor 300 series a huge hit among so many guitarists the world over.
