These Yamaha PSR keyboards keep getting better and cheaper. The new PSRGX76 sports 76 full size, touch sensitive keys, 33 digital effects, 128 AWM voices, and a built in sequencer with pre loaded rhythm styles. Plus it has harmony processing and a bunch of other really cool stuff. Best of all it’s priced well under $350.
If you bill clients by the hour – or simply want to know how long you spend on individual projects – check out Iron Software’s MultiTimer Pro. This $39 Macintosh shareware program allows you to track multiple projects at the same time and store notes for each project. In addition, the program can start a timer the moment a file is opened (you can also configure the program to open files when you switch on a timer).
MOTU has recently posted updates for Digital Performer 2.71, MAS, and FreeMIDI to their Web site. The updates include a variety of bug fixes as well as a new HUI console driver.
