Waves has unveiled Codex, a new virtual polyphone synthesizer based on an advanced granular wavetable synth engine and powered by Waves’ Virtual Voltage technology. Codex is designed to create a broad range of sounds, from acoustic to analog emulations to completely new, never-before-heard timbres and textures.
Codex comes with hundreds of presets, ready to go. A 16-step sequencer is built in, and integrated effects include chorus, delay, reverb, distortion, and more. You can even import your own samples into the Codex wavetable and use them to create fresh, signature sounds!
Also new from Waves is the EMI TG12345, based on the legendary, first-ever solid-state console from EMI studios. That same console shaped the recorded sound of such amazing groups as the Beatles and Pink Floyd. The Waves EMI TG12345 includes a 3-band EQ, a stereo “spreader,” a compressor/limiter with a highpass filter in the sidechain and a mix control for parallel compression effects, a drive control for generating everything from additional harmonic content to full-on distortion, and much more!
