First came the aptly named Satchurator (that’s “saturator,” as in the thick saturated tone it helps users achieve). Now, Vox has announced the second pedal in its series of collaborations with guitar hero Joe Satriani. This one is aptly named the Vox Joe Satriani Time Machine Delay Pedal, and as you might expect from the name, it is a multi-delay effect with one of the widest range of delay times ever offered in a floor pedal, going from just 30ms all the way up to a whopping six seconds! What’s more, the time delay is fully adjustable via a separate tap tempo footswitch. There are four knobs across the top: level, delay range, time, and feedback. The unit can also be set to produce two distinctive delay effects: vintage (which emulates the sound of an old tape delay) and modern (which is cleaner, brighter, and more precise). There’s also a separate EQ mode mini toggle switch, which selects lo-fi or hi-fi delay sounds. The unit has a single input, but two outputs (one wet signal, one dry signal), and the device can be powered by either a 9-volt battery or a DC adapter. The list price has not yet been announced, so check with your Sweetwater Sales Engineer for pricing and availability!
