Vibrato Bar

Jargon used by guitarists for vibrato tailpiece. A vibrato bar is a guitar tailpiece that typically uses a spring-loaded pivoting mechanism to change the tension on the strings, which results in the pitch of the strings going up as the tension is raised and down as the tension is reduced.
